Tomodachi Calling is a charity webshop with T-shirts and other cool stuff. We are a couple of international friends who have met in Tokyo, either because we are living there by choice, were born there or were visiting.. Most of us were in Tokyo at the time the big earthquake hit northeast Japan on Friday March 11, 2011, 14:46 JST. The unfolding events in the minutes, hours and days following the quake left us in a state of shock and terror. It made us feel helpless. So instead of hoping and waiting, we decided to combine and to act. We are therefore asking friends (in Japanese: “tomodachi”), focussing on artists whose works we admire and creative people we like, to contribute a design for our charity-webshop. Please check this shop often! We are uploading new designs and artists on a daily basis!

Yesterday i hear that some friends from Tokyo fill up the car with essentials and went up north distributing to those that still in need.one of them is the owner of Casa Nostra a small bar & restaurant in Harajuku Tokyo.
they say that it looks like the government and army are doing a pretty good job with getting essentials and food to effected areas.and that they will concentrate on getting to smaller places that are harder to get to. it truly warms my heart and i wish them all the good energies needed to keep on going..
unfortunately we can not all drive north but there are so many ways we can help affected areas here are some more related links.

FW 2011-2012 SHOWROOM SCHEDULE UPDATE

このたびは東日本巨大地震により被災された皆さま、ご家族、ならびにご関係者の皆さまに、心からお見舞いを申し上げます。
また、被災地の一日も早い復興を心から祈念するとともに、弊社でも社内家族に犠牲もありましたが、なんとかのり越え、通常営業出来るよう努力しております。

３月２２日－２５日及び３月２８日－４月１日で予定しておりますAW2011-12の展示会におきましては、通常通り行います。
なお、展示会は４月４日－８日まで延長して行いますので、交通機関などの混乱でお越しになれそうにない方は日程の変更をして頂いてもかまいません。
＊BLANK IS のみ４月5－7日は別会場になりますのでご了承ください。（詳細につきましては後日ご案内申し上げます。）

Over the last week we have thought about our showroom schedule, today we have decided to keep our doors open in the original schedule and to add an extra week in April.
MARCH 22 to 25. MARCH 28 to APRIL 01. extra week from APRIL 04 to 08.
From APRIL 05 to 07 BLANK IS will show the collection in a different location in Tokyo. (we will soon post update on this new location)

To those of you that are still planing to come from over seas we ask and advise to make your schedule for the beginning of April and to check carefully the situation in Tokyo or any other place you are traveling to before making any plans.
